This book centers narratives of special education teachers of color as a vehicle for analyzing tensions of race and disability. Building a framework synthesizing DisCrit and Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies, these narratives refuse deficit readings of disability and prepare teachers to model collective joy and pride in identities.
